Jason Poulos, CEO of Librede
Dr. Jason Poulos is CEO of Librede Inc., a Carlsbad based biotechnology company. His background has focused on bioengineering and the commercialization of innovative synthetic biology-based technologies. At Librede, Dr. Poulos oversees the development of microorganism-based platforms to produce natural products found in plants. Dr. Poulos has authored several peer-reviewed publications and is a co-inventor on several patents. He is a co-founder of Librede and co-inventor of a yeast based cannabinoid production system. The main goal of Dr. Poulos’s work is to develop approaches to produce valuable therapeutic compounds in economically and environmentally sustainable ways. Much of the work that Librede has done has been funded by various agencies at the National Institute of Health (NIH).
